Kyoka-ho is one of the fields of okido yoga, literally translated strengthening exercises, both of harmonizing way and challenging way. Kyoka-ho lets you realize (diagnose) your weak points but also awakens your potential strength. There are all sorts of exercises beyond imagination, individual, with a partner or in a big group. For yoga teachers, it gives an extra taste; for children yoga, it is also a fun; for school gymnastic teachers, it gives idea that strength does not come only from physical strength. . .

Yoga and non-salt half fasting

The whole week is meant to cleanse what has accumulated in the body since birth or sometimes before birth. People are busy what to take when they do not feel good, but not busy to what to get rid of. A natural function of the body is to get rid of what is not necessary, but this function cannot whitstand all the toxins that are taken in, produced in the digestive and other bodily processes.
Fasting is the traditional way to help the body to get rid of accumulated toxins. However, most fasting regimes are too extreme for body and mind.
The non-salt half fasting system is mild, but not less effective. And proven effective for slowing down the aging process, headache, lower back pain, constipation, etc., problems for which cannot be found anatomical cause.
By stopping salt from outside, accumulated salt comes out, and melt into the blood, as our body needs salt. This salt is preserved unbroken, accompanied with toxins. So when salt is melted into the blood out of the tissues also the accumulated toxins get eliminated from the tissues. At that moment you will get different symptoms or you do not feel good. We eat or drink what neutralises the toxins coming out, this helps the elimination process. It is going faster and is less suffering… This way non-salt during fasting is much more effective, also this system does not cause rebounding after fasting (eating too much).
Exercising also accelerates the cleansing process. A daily programme is alternating exercises and theory study. This theory study is not study of physiology on the paper but through your own living body: you learn to listen to your lifeforce, that is yoga.

Mizue and Hatsuko will - together with other staff members - teach every day. Mizue specifically on how to use your body in daily life. Though this may sound as if it’s purely bodywork, emotional and philosofical aspects are definitely linked.
Shiatsu, relation points and corrective exercises blend harmoniously together in the lessons of Hatsuko.

SUMMER RETREAT 2017 II

Sun July 30 (21:00) - Sun August 6 (16:00)
We start in the dojo with an arrival from 21:00 on Sunday evening. On Monday and Tuesday we do a 2 days basic training programme. Wednesday we go north for a special survival trip: a Wadden tour (crossing the Waddensea at low tide) to Schiermonnikoog Island, where we stay, doing okido yoga practice, until Friday. The weekend of August 4 - 6 we do a meiso shiatsu programme in Laren. Meiso shiatsu is shiatsu with the application of yoga: yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara,bakthi, samadhi...
The summer retreat, in fact, consists of 3 parts, that can be followed also seperately:
2 days basic training (Sunday 30 July 21:00 - Tuesday 1
3 days survival (Tuesday 1 August 20.30 - Friday 4
August 16:00) arrival/departure: Lauwersoog
2 days meiso shiatsu (Friday 4 August 20:30 - Sunday 6
Combining the survival with the basic training or the meiso shiatsu: € 550 (including 1 time travel from Laren-Lauwersoog, or v.v.)
